Donald E. Simpson, 91, of Bradyville, TN., passed away at his home, Thursday, June 19, 2025. Born in Cannon Co., he was the son of the late Bill and Mamie Young Simpson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Everet, Dewey and Arlis Simpson and his sister, Lois Curlee.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Leola Reed Simpson; his daughter, Susan (Gary) Hollis; sons, Barry Simpson, Eric (Sherry) Simpson and David (Jennifer) Simpson; grandchildren, Brittney (Ryan) Johnson, Brent (Megan) Hollis, Emily (Travis) Serfas, Erica Simpson, Jagar Simpson, Cooper Simpson, Zoe Simpson, Morgan Simpson and Zerian (Taylor) Reyer; great grandchildren, Garrison Hollis, Ronin Johnson, Granger Hollis, Basilah Reyer, Freya Reyer and Harlow Reyer; and his sisters, Edna Taylor and Marie (James) Prater. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A member of the Lumley Stand Church of Christ, Mr. Simpson was retired. He enjoyed his horses and cherished his time making memories with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Per Mr. Simpson’s wishes, he will be cremated. A private service will be held at a later date.
