Lon Dorothy Campbell Reed

Lon Dorothy Reed, age 82, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her home. She was born in Cannon County on December 24, 1938.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jimmy D. Reed of Woodbury; Children, Mark (Sharon) Reed of Goodlettsville, Denise (Chris) Bailiff of Woodbury, and Johnny (Suzanne) Reed of Woodbury; Grandchildren, Chad Reed, Destin Reed, & Justin (Sara) Reed all of McMinnville, Leslie Bailiff of Miami, FL, Carmen (Brian) Newcomb of Chapel Hill, & Cameron Bailiff of Shelbyville; Great Grandchildren, Emme Reed, Greyson Newcomb, & Gunner Newcomb; Sister-in-law & Best Friend, Frankie Goins & Jean Norton. Several nieces & nephews also survive.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John William & Ada Ferrell Campbell; Siblings, Dison & Jane Campbell, Hazel & Bratton Melton, & Charlie & Garnette Campbell; Half-Sisters, Ruby Langston & Naomi Goodwin; and Grandsons, Stacey Reed & Jacob Nicholas Reed.

A member of the Wood Church of Christ, her greatest joys were growing beautiful flowers, cooking, taking care of others and pets, and visiting or helping anyone who needed her. She always put others above herself. She loved the Lord with all her heart and set a great example of a Godly woman for her family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Woodbury Funeral Home. Private family graveside services will be 11 AM Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery with Bro. Justin Reed officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wood Church of Christ, c/o David Parton, 259 Blanton School Rd., Woodbury, TN 37190.
